Re-opening – The Next Steps

Re-Opening Information From The Salon, Langley Park

We hope that you are all keeping safe & well. Following on from the latest announcement from the government, we are very excited to be able to open our doors once again. We have been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready.

We know how keen you will be to book your next appointment and just wanted to outline the next steps we will be taking.

If You Had An Appointment Cancelled During Lockdown

We will be prioritising clients booked in during lockdown before fully opening our booking system. If you have missed an appointment due to the lockdown, your stylist will contact you directly to get you booked back in.

Please keep checking our Facebook page for further updates on when our phone lines & online booking system will be fully operational.

Deposits

Due to a large volume of clients not turning up for appointments after the last lockdown we will now require a small deposit for future bookings. We thank you for your understanding and hope you appreciate the frustration we are faced with when clients miss appointments that could have been given to someone else.

Ladies Cut & Blow Dry – £20.00

Skin Testing

Please Note: A Patch Will Be Required For ALL Colouring Services

You have two options available for skin tests at The Salon.

OPTION 1. ALLERGY ALERT TEST (AAT)

This on the skin test can only be carried out in the salon. It is FREE to all colour clients. This MUST be carried out 48hours prior to ANY colouring service from Monday 12th April.

OPTION 2. NEW COLOUR-START PASSPORT

Colour Start Passport is an online app that helps you decide if Colour start is suitable for use.

The Salon is working alongside Colourstart who will send clients a plaster-type patch which you apply to your arm to test for allergies to PPD which is usually found in hair colourants. You can then upload your results via the Colourstart App which will advise you whether you are safe to continue with hair colour. It can be used to test for allergy to PPD and you can repeat the Colourstart test if you are switching to a new hair colour product.

Participating hair professionals will recognise and accept the Colourstart test result, so you will not need to be screened for allergy before your colour appointment, unlocking walk-in colour appointments.

You can purchase your test from The Salon where we will post it out to you directly. You will then need to follow this link to register & share your test results.
