Autumn 2026 Hair Trends – Our Stylists’ Picks

So, what are we loving for autumn 2026?

Our stylists at The Salon, Langley Park, have picked out some of the hair colours, cuts and transformations they think will be everywhere this season – from warm copper and rich red tones to glossy brunettes, beautiful grey blending and fuller, longer hair with extensions.

Copper & Red Tones For An Autumn Glow

If there’s one colour family that feels made for autumn, it’s copper and red.

Warm coppers, fiery oranges, rich auburns and deeper red tones are perfect for adding warmth and dimension to your hair as we head into the cooler months. They can be bold and vibrant or soft and understated, depending on your starting colour and the look you're after.

Think burnt copper, spiced orange, rich auburn, warm cinnamon and glossy red-brown tones – shades that catch the light beautifully and give your hair that gorgeous autumnal glow.

And you don't necessarily need to go for a dramatic colour change. A few carefully placed warmer tones, highlights or a gloss can be enough to give your existing colour a seasonal refresh.

Warm, Glossy Brunettes

Rich chocolate, caramel, chestnut and warm mocha tones can give brunette hair plenty of depth without making it look flat or overly dark. The key is shine and dimension.

A beautifully blended brunette with subtle variation through the hair can look incredibly natural, while a glossing treatment can help enhance the colour and give the hair that gorgeous reflective finish.

If you're currently blonde and fancy moving towards a deeper autumnal shade, or you're a brunette looking to warm up your existing colour, a consultation is the perfect place to start.

Grey Blending

Autumn can also be the perfect time to rethink your relationship with grey hair.

If you're growing out your natural grey, you don't necessarily have to choose between covering every grey hair or letting everything grow out naturally. Grey blending offers a more gradual approach.

Everyone's transition is different. Some clients prefer to take things slowly, gradually introducing more natural tones, while others are ready for a bigger change. During your consultation, we'll consider your existing colour, natural shade, hair condition and the result you'd like to achieve before creating a personalised plan.

Depending on your hair and the look you want, we may use a combination of highlights, lowlights and glossing treatments to create a beautifully blended result. The aim isn't necessarily to hide every silver or white hair. It's about creating a softer transition between your existing colour and your natural tones, helping everything work together as your hair grows.

Fuller, Longer Hair With Weft Extensions

Sometimes changing your colour isn't enough – you want more hair!

If you're dreaming of longer, fuller, more head-turning hair this autumn, weft hair extensions could be worth considering.

Weft extensions can add length, volume and texture, or even introduce a subtle pop of colour without colouring your natural hair. When fitted correctly, they can create a full, flawless finish that looks and feels beautifully natural.
