Michael Embleton

I started in hairdressing some 25 years ago having achieved levels 2 and 3 in hairdressing.

After perfecting my art I opened my own salon which was established for 17 years then joined up with Alan at the salon 10 years ago.

During this time I have employed and trained young apprentices within the salon some of whom have gone on to open their own successful business.

I believe education is vital to our work and I personally receive a great deal of satisfaction from passing my knowledge on to the young hairdressers of today. To assist in this I enrolled and graduated in 2009 I graduated with a Pcet Teaching degree through Sunderland University at New College Durham.

One of the areas I truly enjoy teaching is cutting and colouring techniques, so much so that I endeavour to attend a variety of courses to keep abreast of the ever changing trends.

Over the past few years I have attended courses by Andrew Collinge, Lee Stafford, Vidal Sassoon and Hob academy London. More recently in August 2011 a four day cutting program at the Redken- Exchange and a day with top colourist Beth Minardi.

My professional membership includesMYHAIRDRESSER.COM, NICK EDUCATION, HAIRDRESSER TV, and SCISSORBOY.COM all of which are hairdressing education sites.

Colour is my passion your hair colour is the make-up you never take off.
